Sing, Serve, & Socialize

Growing a Christ-centered community who welcomes gladly, sings joyfully and serves boldly!

PLC Mission Statement
Our Mission Statement Explained

Welcome Gladly: This is at the core of who we are as a congregation. It is our intention to energetically greet you, help you feel relaxed and appreciated, and make sure that when you depart you have been blessed by your worship experience.

Sing Joyfully: This is a great strength of our fellowship. Our music program is led by excellent music staff that elevate our worship. Our praise team, bell and channel choirs collaborate effectively to deliver an inspirational blended service.

Serve Boldly: This is at the center of following Jesus. We seek to involve every person to actively serve in some capacity. We practice our faith by quilting and greeting, joining the Care Team, servicing in leadership or traveling on a mission trip.

Children Youth and Family

We have a high energy pair of Children Youth and Family Directors brimming with creative ideas to keep the activities, service and learning opportunities happening. These programs feature Sunday school, Children’s Church, Parent’s Day Out, Vacation Bible School, annual Youth Mission Trip and many service projects for the communities near and far.

Studies and groups for all ages

Adult Bible Studies

We are committed to helping you grow through Bible study and faith conversation. We offer a variety of study opportunities or gatherings to involve you with Scripture, to wrestle with faith questions, and see how to apply to daily life. Pastor’s Weekly Bible Study (available in our video gallery), Women’s Bible Study which meets twice a month, Rebekah Circle which combines Bible Study and community service.

Dialog on Draft is a monthly off-site (or by zoom meeting) gathering where we host speakers who guide us as we tackle current topics.

Music Ministries

Here at Peninsula, we strive to usher our congregation into a worshipful space both in mind and spirit through the outstanding music provided.  Whether you prefer contemporary, classic, or a mix of both you will leave uplifted.  Our musical team consists of seasoned members both young and old. We provide opportunities for new members to connect in meaningful ways.  It is our goal for you to leave both uplifted and with a song to remain with you through the week to help keep you centered, and focused on our mission in the field.

Prayer, Visitation, and Pastoral Care

Peninsula’s Care Team, Prayer Team, and staff work together to provide an active, vibrant ministry of visitation and congregational care. Our parish nurses, communion team members, Pastor Chuck, prayer team members, and staff consistently reach out to our newcomers, homebound, hospitalized, and church members. If you would like to join these ministries, we welcome new members to share their gifts and join our mission of healing.

Our Services and Missions

When we serve, we strengthen our faith fitness. We love our neighbor, for example, among others, through Backpack for Kids, FISH Foodbank, quilting for Lutheran World Federation, Lutheran World Relief, Living Stones Prison Ministry and Manna Ministry. Every two years, we take a mission team of youth and adults to work at an orphanage on the Mexican Baja . The list goes on and we are eager to share more details, please contact us!
